EXP2 Final Sandbox model

 Overview of my design

Electroliquid Aggregation:
Freud + Agnesi
"A person who knows multiple languages, have a clear mind and being conscience can help analyzing the minds of others and connecting all the facets of people's life."

The overall theme of my design is communication (concluded from my Electroliquid Aggregation). The gesture of both parts of my design is trying to illustrate the idea of connecting to each other by using strong columns and stretching beams on both sides towards to the other side of the architecture.

Rear view (Dawn)

The room in between the floors is Agnesi's studio. The room is facing the ocean and this creates an open space for Agnesi. Multiple layers of floors and columns are used to symbolized the importance of knowing multiple languages.
This room is designed for Sigmund Freud. The room provides a clear view to the hill slope and the sea in which encourage the client to think through matters clearly. With the use of bright walls, it pushes users to more positive thinking.

The meeting point of the clients is at the middle of the architecture. It is designed as a recreational space with green grassland and trees. This provides a relaxing environment for clients to discuss matters freely. It is surrounded by the "stretching arms" parts from Freud's studio, hence expressing the idea of communication between people.

EXP1 Final sketch up

Overall view of my design.

3 images of my design

Theme words for the studios:
Upper studio = Heavy
Lower Studio = Reflective

Banksy's studio is designed to be hanged above the gallery space by using a strong column extended from the below ground  to support its overall floor. With this concept, a sense of heaviness is illustrated. And through the use of repetition of "walls", this creates a space for Banksy to explore his ideas.

Different to the 2 studios, the gallery is designed as a free space which let viewers to go around freely without any restriction of walls.

Mueck's studio lies underground. Metallic colour is used for walls and ceiling so to demonstrate the theme of "reflective". Also, by locating the room underground with solid rock walls surrounding his studio, this creates a place for Mueck to get his inspiration by reflecting his daily experiences.

3 Animations about the model

Upper studio (Banksy) : Heavy
The video shows the overall structure of Banksy's studio and illustrates how users move from the gallery on the ground level to the upper top roof of the building, which the space is designed as a space for Banksy to explore his graffiti design.

Gallery:
A free open space gallery which allows people to use it view artworks freely without any constraints. Users can see artworks everywhere including the car park space next to it. Columns and walls are full of Banksy's graffiti art work which applies to what Banksy usually does on streets and public areas.

Lower Studio (Mueck): Reflective
The animation shows the walk through of Mueck's studio. As the artworks of Mueck are usually huge and massive, his studio is designed with large interior working space, letting him to put his tools and models everywhere he like.
